Keeping voters poor

How to make a huge dent in poverty and inequality in America? Get married and stay married. The Beverly LaHaye Institute reported that only 7 percent of married families in the country fall below the poverty line. When a single mother is the head of household, the poverty rate jumps to 40 percent.

But the problem is that with this increasing entitlement state in which the Democratic Party is relentlessly searching to buy votes, keeping mothers single through 83 various federal and state subsidy payments is the party’s blind solution to inequality. And who overwhelmingly votes Democratic? I think the answer is single mothers and undereducated males looking for the “free” ride.

The typical liberal Democrat’s credulity is impervious to evidence — and, unfortunately for America, impervious to proper reform. So we’ll just keep on fighting the same old poverty wars over and over again.
