West Hardies Road in Hampton, which has been closed since July 21, is scheduled to reopen tonight, weather permitting, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
The road was closed between Route 8 and Pioneer Road to allow for major repairs, which were part of the Route 8/Hardies Road improvement project. It involves left-turn lanes in all directions, widening, roadway reconstruction, drainage improvements, signs and pavement markings, and signal upgrades. The work was performed by Frank J. Zottola Construction Inc.
The road is scheduled to reopen at 8 p.m.
