Traffic restrictions for a major reconstruction project were scheduled to begin today on Bower Hill Road in Scott, Upper St. Clair and Bridgeville, the Allegheny County Public Works Department announced.

An alternating one-way pattern, with flaggers directing traffic, will be in effect after 7 a.m. between Painters Run and McLaughlin Run roads as crews begin work to repair two bridges and repave the road. Traffic restrictions will continue from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays until Oct. 1, with a full closure of the road planned in early July.
