Two ramps at the Route 28 interchange with the 31st Street Bridge will be closed overnight Thursday to allow crews to apply an overlay, PennDOT announced.

Plans to close the ramps tonight as well were postponed by a forecast of rain, the department said this afternoon.

The outbound Route 28 off-ramp to the bridge and the on-ramp from the bridge to outbound Route 28 will close at 8 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m. on Friday. Traffic will be detoured using the interchanges immediately to the north and south of the bridge.
