Inbound Route 28 will be closed overnight today through Sunday at the William Raymond Prom Memorial Bridge (formerly the 31st Street Bridge), PennDOT announced.
The closures will begin at 8 p.m. daily, with the highway reopening at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday and 5 a.m. Monday. Inbound traffic will be detoured via the Prom Bridge and David McCullough Bridge (formerly the 16th Street Bridge).
Inbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Prom Bridge.
Crews will install manholes.
