Swinburne Street in South Oakland reopened today following a rock slide Saturday morning, Mayor Bill Peduto's spokesman said.

The street is open to traffic at Greenfield and Parkview avenues, Timothy McNulty wrote in an email.

The road extends from South Oakland beneath the parkway into Greenfield, where it becomes Frazier Street and meets Greenfield Avenue.

The Department of Public Works removed loose material and debris from the hillside and added Jersey barriers to prevent additional debris from falling, he said.
