Regular light rail service resumes

Service was restored on the Light Rail Transit system early this afternoon after disabled vehicles caused delays and detours on the Blue and Red lines.

The midmorning breakdowns caused all inbound cars to use Red Line routing and outbound cars onto the Blue Line. Port Authority spokeswoman Heather Pharo said residual delays were possible until trains get back on normal schedules.
