McArdle Roadway has reopened after a rockslide shut it down for several hours this afternoon,

Debris from the slide piled up to near the top of a 7-foot retaining wall, but the wall was not breached.

City Public Works director Rob Kaczorowski said the slide occurred around 1:15 this afternoon and felled a tree. He said the event was likely triggered by wind and rain.

Crews were dispatched to the scene to remove the debris.
