The Amity Street entrance to the Waterfront complex in Homestead will be closed to vehicle traffic from Monday to Nov. 1 for repair work, according to the company handling security at the site.

L&N Security Services Inc. said the closure on Amity from Sixth to Fifth avenues will allow Norfolk Southern to repair and upgrade the railroad crossing at the intersection.

The entrance will be closed to all vehicles from 7 a.m. Monday to 7 p.m. Nov. 1, but pedestrians will be granted access.

A posted detour will instruct motorists to use the entrance at Eighth Avenue and East Waterfront Drive Bridge.
