Pittsburgh attorney David B. White has been named to the Port Authority of Allegheny County's board of directors, appointed by state House Speaker Sam Smith.

Mr. White, a partner at Burns White, was named to the board under a new state law restructuring the Port Authority, growing its governing board to 11 members, six of whom are selected by the Allegheny County chief executive, with rest appointed by the governor and each of the four House and Senate caucuses.
