Stacy Innerst is the artist. You are the caption writer.

CapCon 225's depiction of a four-legged ant exterminator (click on second image above to see cartoon) was a real picnic in the park for Marshall's Dave Hatfield, our unofficial 2013 CapCon MVP after placing first for the fourth time this year. Everyone with a potentially clever streak should use CapCon 226 to get a head start on the 2014 title by describing what's going on with Santa, his elf and the monkeys.

Send up to three entries to page2@post-gazette.com or mail to: Caption Contest/Portfolio, Post-Gazette, 34 Blvd. of the Allies, Pittsburgh PA 15222. Please include name and address and identify your municipality or Pittsburgh city neighborhood. Deadline: Dec. 30. Winners receive a PG umbrella, more easily assembled than many Christmas gifts.

a dog!”

At the Fourth of July parade and picnic, tragedy befell the red ants marching drill team.
