CapCon 221's responses and winners showed the wide reach of the contest. Among 226 entries describing the curious hospital scene (click on second image above to see cartoon), the best came from right here in Mt. Lebanon, but our second-place finisher was an East McKeesport native who has migrated to Florida and third place was taken by a Maryland resident who started life in Carrick. Wherever you live, we know you'll have plenty to talk about with guests in offering ideas for CapCon 222.
Send up to three entries to firstname.lastname@example.org or mail to: Caption Contest/Portfolio, Post-Gazette, 34 Blvd. of the Allies, Pittsburgh PA 15222. Please include name and address and identify your municipality or Pittsburgh city neighborhood. Deadline: Nov. 4. Winners receive a PG umbrella, unless it's interrupted somehow by problems with the government's health care website.
