State Rep. Jesse White, D-Cecil, defeated primary challenger Tom Casciola to maintain his seat in the 46th Legislative District.

Mr. White, 35, now faces Republican Jason Ortitay in the Nov. 4 general election. The 30-year-old small business owner from South Fayette faced no opposition in the primary.

Mr. White faced flak last year after he was caught impersonating constituents and members of his party on Internet sites, such as Facebook and Twitter.
