Children can learn to snowboard without snow at the Carnegie Science Center on Saturday.

Instructors from the Seven Springs Mountain Resort have built a movable attraction that makes it possible for them to teach snowboarding without snow. They’ll be at the Highmark Sportsworks building in the Carnegie Science Center complex from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Seven Springs staff will provide snowboards and boots – in sizes 10 to 13 – for the children. Children aged 3 to 8, who weigh less than 60 pounds may participate. The snowboarding instruction is included in the general admission fee for the Carnegie Science Center.
