Classes/workshops

  • Mon-Vale Health Resources is sponsoring the following classes:

— Infant & child CPR, 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center, Monongahela Valley Hospital, Carroll. Cost: $40, advance registration required. Call 724-684-9536. Sponsored in conjunction with the Valley Health and Safety Training Center.

— Childbirth Preparation, four weeks, 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays beginning Sept. 3, Mon-Vale HealthPLEX, 800 Plaza Drive, Rostraver. To register, call 724-258-2229 ext. 9.

  • Excela Health is sponsoring the following classes in conference room D, on the first floor of Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Call 1-877-771-1234.

— Family and Friends CPR, 6 to 9 p.m. next Tuesday.

— Childbirth and Beyond, three weeks, 7 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays beginning Sept. 3.

  • Allegheny Valley Hospital is offering “Prenatal Breastfeeding Preparation” from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 3 at its Destination Wellness health resource center, the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, 590 Pittsburgh Mills Circle, Frazer. The cost is $40 per couple. To register, call 412-578-7030.
  • The Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Center, suite B101, 401 Shady Ave., Shadyside, is sponsoring “A Comprehensive Survey of the Complete Psychological Works of Sigmund Freud” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays from Sept. 29 to June 29, 2015. The cost is $600, with a $100 deposit due by Monday. Call 412-661-4224.
