■  UPMC East, Monroeville, will present “Stroke Prevention and Rehabilitation” from 9 to 11:30 a.m. today in the hospital’s Conference Center, on the ground level, as part of its Alive and Well Series. Support Groups

■ Self Help Group Network, a service PA 2-1-1 Southwest, provides a database of support groups. Call 412-255-1155.

■ Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2040 Washington Road, Upper St. Clair, in conjunction with the Alzheimer’s Association, is sponsoring a support group meeting for caregivers from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday. Call 412-835-6630.

Fitness Classes/Clinics

■ VA Butler Healthcare, 325 New Castle Road, Butler Township, is offering to veterans “Group Lifestyle Balance,” a new group program for weight management and diabetes prevention consisting of a 12-week core followed by twice-monthly, then once-monthly classes. Special Opportunities

■ The Allegheny County Parks Department is hosting “Play Well Allegheny Basketball Camps” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for children ages 10-15 on the following dates and locations.
