While emphasizing that people should still try to select a health plan by Monday, the head of a statewide enrollment program says those who need assistance completing the health exchange application can still call the toll-free number 1-800-318-2596 for help afterward.
It is unclear if health care navigators will be available for face-to-face consults after Monday.
Bill England, state director for Enroll America, said the HealthCare.gov website has been slowing due to heavy traffic from people trying to enroll by the March 31 deadline.
On Wednesday, federal officials said those who at least start their application by midnight Monday will have until mid-April to ask for an extension.
Those who do not have at least a partially completed application before Tuesday will have to wait until the next enrollment period in December, with exceptions made for those experiencing life-altering events such as a birth or a divorce.
