Special events

■ Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Center in partnership with Duquesne University's Department of Psychology, is sponsoring the movie "Flight" from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. March 28 in Room 1, Rockwell Hall, at the Uptown campus as the second in PPC's "Analytic Flicks" series. A discussion with psychoanalyst and psychotherapist Mario Fischetti follows. Suggested donation is $10, and contining education credits are available. Call 412-661-4224.

Charity events

■ The Children's Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center is sponsoring its annual Shake Your Booties event with the theme "Super Heroes" at 6 p.m. March 29 at Heinz Field, 100 Art Rooney Ave. Cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, gourmet food stations, silent and live auctions, raffle opportunities, a photo booth and live entertainment by In The Mood are on the agenda. Comedian Gab Bonesso will be master of ceremonies. The cost is $150. Proceeds benefit the Children's Home's Adoption, Child's Way and Pediatric Specialty Hospital programs. Call 412-441-4884.

■ The annual UPMC Children's Ball is 6 to 9 p.m. March 29 at the Carnegie Science Center, 1 Allegheny Ave., North Shore. The luau-themed event includes Hawaiian performers, balloon artists, face painting and more. Dinner is being provided for all participants, including kid-friendly food and an ice cream sundae bar. ■ Excela Health, in partnership with the ladies auxiliary of Blairsville Parks & Recreation Foundation, is offering a Wellness Check diagnostic screening 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Blairsville Area Medical Park, 56 Club Lane, Resort Plaza, Burrell, Indiana County. ■ Mon-Vale Health Resources is sponsoring a Multiphasic Blood Analysis from 7 to 10 a.m. March 29 in the Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center of Monongahela Valley Hospital, Carroll.
