■ The Jewish Healthcare Foundation, in partnership with the Eye & Ear Foundation, is holding a presentation and panel discussion concerning human papillomavirus vaccinations from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Jewish Healthcare Foundation’s QI2T Center, Centre City Tower, 650 Smithfield St., Downtown. Featured presenter is Joan Cates of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Panel participants are Sonya Borrero, assistant professor, School of Medicine, University of Pittsburgh; Alan Finkelstein, board chair of Adagio Health; William Isler, president of Family Communications Inc.; Jonas Johnson, professor and chair of the department of otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC; and Mary Suresh, former director of public health for the town of Wellesley, Mass. and a JHF HPV vaccination initiative consultant. ■ The Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Center, in partnership with the Infant Mental Health Program of Chatham University, is sponsoring “Secure Attachment: A Foundation for Children’s Healthy Development” from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 22 in the Eddy Theater on the Shadyside campus of Chatham University, Woodland Road. Featured speaker is Jude Cassidy, professor of psychology at the University of Maryland and director of the Maryland Child and Family Developmental Laboratory. The cost is $15, $10 for members and friends of the PPC, free for Chatham students and faculty. Three continuing educational credits are available for $30. Space is limited. ■ The STAR Center of Allegheny Health Network, along with its EMS Training and Coordination Office, is offering two-hour Friends and Family CPR and AED classes at 9 and 11 a.m. and 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday inside the School of Nursing building, West Penn Hospital, Bloomfield. ■ Penn State Extension is offering a food safety training course from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 11 and 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 18 at its Westmoreland County office, suite E, 214 Donohoe Road, Hempfield.
