Penn Hills school directors unanimously approved a final budget proposal of $78.1 million for the 2014-15 school year.

It includes an 0.684 increase in the real estate tax millage rate. The tax rate will increase from 23.47 mills this year to 24.154 mills in 2014-15. This means that $24.154 will be assessed for every $1,000 in real estate property value.
