The North Hills school board Thursday approved the program of studies for the middle and high schools for the 2014-15 school year.
The programs of studies should be posted on the district’s website on Monday. Superintendent Patrick Mannarino urged parents to go over the program of studies and attend a curriculum night so they can better understand the options available for their children.
“There is such a smorgasbord of courses out there,” said board member Jeffrey Meyer. “It's going to take a week for students and parents to go through this thing and plot out an appropriate path.”
Mr. Mannarino said most classes need an enrollment of at least 15 students in order to proceed. An exception is made for advanced placement classes.
