The Pittsburgh-Mt. Oliver Intermediate Unit will continue to rent space at RiverTech Office Works on the South Side for another year.

The school board tonight approved a lease at a cost of $58,410 a year. The Intermediate Unit has been in the building for two years. The space provides administrative offices as well as work space for teachers and psychologists.

Board member Mark Brentley Sr. abstained, saying the district owns many unused buildings.

Board member Regina Holley asked if there is room in the board headquarters in Oakland. Superintendent Linda Lane said there would be inadequate parking.
