The board of the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School in Midland today announced it has begun a formal search for a new chief executive officer.

The previous CEO, Rebecca Manning, resigned in September. Principal P.K. Poling has been acting CEO.

The job description says the candidate should be student-centered, committed to the performing arts and have a "belief in, dedication to and passion for our goal of nurturing students into highly functional and outstanding students in the performing arts."

It calls for candidates to hold a terminal degree and experience in financial management and budgeting.

"The successful candidate will be prepared to lead and implement a growth/expansion process, have a documented history of strategic planning and successful and innovative school leadership," the description states.

The details are at www.lppacs.org.

Charter schools are public schools open to residents of Pennsylvania. The home school district pays a fee set by the state.
