A two-vehicle crash in Sandy Lake left one man dead Saturday afternoon.

State police at Mercer said Ryan P. Voorhees, 37, of Franklin, was driving a car that was rammed by another vehicle at the intersection of Booher Road and Sandy Lake-Polk Road at 3:45 p.m. Saturday.

Police said the vehicle driven by Elsie Welton, 27, of Fredonia, went through a stop sign and collided with Mr. Voohees’ vehicle. Mr. Voorhees’ car rolled over onto the driver’s side. Police noted Mr. Voorhees was not wearing a seat belt.

Ms. Welton and two children in the car received what police described as minor injuries. Ms. Welton was wearing a seat belt and the children were secured in safety seats, police said.
