Members who were present at the Citizen Police Review Board on Tuesday night voted to hold a public hearing to garner facts in the alleged misconduct of a Zone 5 lieutenant, but there may not have been enough affirmative votes to validate the motion.
Three members voted aye, and one abstained. Solicitor Robert Ridge said he would determine whether the vote would stand based on the quorum present. If the number of votes is found not to be sufficient, the vote will be voided and brought back up at a later meeting, he said.
Officer Cynthia Ferretti sent a letter Aug. 14 to five organizations, including the police bureau and independent review board, complaining that Lt. Reyne Kacsuta cursed during an argument about a police car and that the city’s Office of Municipal Investigations would not investigate her complaint.
