After issuing four arrest warrants this week for a Megan's Law violator, the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office detained the Stowe man Friday in Monroeville.
Meredith Seddon, 38, was wanted on two warrants issued for violation of probation or parole regarding a 2006 sexual assault conviction and two warrants stemming from his lifetime requirement to register as sexual offender, Lt. Jack Kearney said.
An off-duty sheriff noticed Seddon's girlfriend's vehicle outside the East Exit Motel on Friday evening, he said. The couple was arrested without incident, and both were taken to the Allegheny County Jail, Lt. Kearney said.
Alisha Diamond, 36, of Sheraden was charged with hindering apprehension Tuesday, when she provided Seddon with a vehicle, and again Friday.
During the course of the week, detectives also arrested two of Seddon's family members -- his brother, Joshua Seddon, 29 of the Trafford area; and their cousin, Scott Bevan, 24, of Arlington -- on hindering apprehension charges.
"This evening's arrest marks the third time in two months that off-duty sheriff's detectives located fugitives leading to arrests," Lt. Kearney said.
