A man accused of killing the mother of his two children in Beaver County surrendered to police Sunday afternoon.
Aliquippa police took Jasmen Walker, 27, into custody shortly after going to the 1200 block of Main Street in Aliquippa just before 4 p.m..
Aliquippa police Detective Steven Roberts said police believe Anesha Martin, 25, was shot to death sometime in the early morning Sunday, possibly between 5 and 7 a.m. She suffered a gunshot wound to the neck and another to her head, above her right ear, Detective Roberts said, adding there were signs of forced entry into the home.
Ms. Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.
A family member, who had tried calling Ms. Martin several times that morning, stopped by to check on her that afternoon and made the 911 call.
Her three children were staying with relatives overnight and were not home at the time of the shooting, Detective Roberts said.
Court records show Mr. Walker is charged with criminal homicide, burglary, criminal trespass and carrying a firearm without a license.
He remains in the Beaver County Jail.
Court records show he was scheduled to be arraigned this morning.
