A baby was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub in Moon.
Moon police Capt. Gregory Seamon said the 11-month-old girl's father found her face-down in a tub with several inches of water about 4 p.m. after he realized he hadn't seen her for a while.
The baby is alive, Capt. Seamon said, but no details of her condition were available.
She was taken first to Sewickley Valley Hospital, then flown by medical helicopter to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, Capt. Seamon said.
The man's other three children, ages 3 1/2, 6 and 8, were at home at the time, and police believe the baby's mother was at work.
Capt. Seamon said when Moon police arrived, the father was on the phone taking CPR instructions from a dispatcher.
Allegheny County homicide detectives were called to help as matter of protocol, because Moon police didn't initially know the baby's status, Capt. Seamon said.
County police will lead the investigation.
