Both were elected unanimously at the Dec. 4 reorganization meeting. Mrs. Poletti was nominated by Beth McIntyre, who had served as board president since June 2010, and Mrs. Huntoon was nominated by Sandy Zeleznik.
Board meetings for 2013 will continue to be as follows: workshop and special action meetings, 7:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday, regular voting meetings, 7:30 on the fourth Tuesday.
The school board has ended the district's participation in the Alternative Center for Education program on the campus of Parkway West Career and Technology Center in North Fayette at the end of the 2012-13 school year.
The vote Dec. 5 was 8-0, with member Robert Ostrander absent.
