Two teenage boys who were wanted in connection with the shooting death of a woman in Beaver Falls earlier this month were arrested Tuesday night.
Members of a U.S. marshals fugitive task force arrested 14-year-olds Marcus Velasquez and Todavia Cleckley, both of Beaver Falls, about 10 p.m. Additional details about the arrest were not available, except that no one was injured.
A third boy, Kyle Goosby Jr., 13, of Beaver Falls, had already been arrested in connection with the shooting death of Kayla Peterson, 22, of Beaver Falls.
Beaver Falls police had been searching for Marcus and Todavia for more than a week.
Officers received a call about 3 p.m. on Dec. 8 for a report that Ms. Peterson had been shot outside her home in the 500 block of 13th Street. Her boyfriend was also outside during the shooting.
Chief Charles R. Jones Jr. said at the time that one of three teens pulled out a gun and fired a round from across the street after arguing with the couple over a pack of cigarettes.
Ms. Peterson died in Allegheny General Hospital later that day.
William Bailey, Ms. Peterson's 28-year-old fiance, said he's glad the teens have been caught.
"It is a weight off my shoulder, but it's a long process to trial and that's what I'm worried about," he said. "I just want justice for my girl."
Marcus faces charges of homicide, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and conspiracy.
The other two boys have been charged with conspiracy to commit homicide but not with the other offenses.
