A man whom police believe might have been killed in a hit-and-run incident in Carnegie has been identified as Donald Ferrero Jr.
An autopsy by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office is pending today for Mr. Ferrero, who was found Friday around 12:30 a.m. with severe injuries in the 600 block of North Bell Avenue.
Investigators believe that he had not been shot or stabbed but due to the nature of his head and chest injuries had probably been struck or run over by a vehicle, possibly a truck.
Mr. Ferrero had been living at the Extended Stay America hotel a block away from where he was discovered by a passing motorist. He was 53.
