Traffic on Gilkeson Road and Connor Road at Route 19 in Mt. Lebanon will be reduced to a single lane starting at 6 p.m. today as a $5.6 million construction project continues, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.
That restriction will be lifted by 6 a.m. Friday, but other weekend restrictions are scheduled.
All traffic will be in a single-lane pattern using the eastbound travel lanes from 7 p.m. Friday until about 8 a.m. Saturday. From 7 p.m. Saturday until about 10 a.m. Sunday, traffic will be in a single-lane pattern using the westbound side.
The restrictions will allow crews to mill and pave the approaches to the intersection. The work zone extends from Old Gilkeson Road to East Terrace and Sunridge roads. The project includes adding a second through lane from Gilkeson to Connor.
