Motorcycle rider killed in Fayette County crash with deer identified

The motorcycle rider killed in a crash involving a deer in Wharton on Monday has been identified, the Fayette County coroner's office said today.

Jesse Sanders, 30, died of injuries to the head and neck suffered in the crash, which was reported in the 400 block of Old Mill Road about 1:21 p.m.

Mr. Sanders, was heading north on Old Mill Road when he hit a deer on the road and lost control of the motorcycle. He crashed and came to a stop in a grassy area west of the road, according to Pennsylvania State Police in the Uniontown barracks.

Toxicology tests have been ordered, according to the coroner's office.
