A word to the wise: PennDOT is doing milling and paving work on Washington Road in Mt. Lebanon this weekend from Connor/Gilkeson to Alfred Street, weather permitting.
At 6 tonight, traffic will be shifted from the southbound lanes into the northbound lanes until 6 a.m. Sunday. There will be single lane traffic in each direction from Alfred Street to Connor/Gilkeson.
Tonight's work follows milling and paving work done overnight Friday night.
The work is part of a $5.56 million project on a 2.55-mile stretch, including milling, resurfacing, guiderail, minor drainage, curbs, pavement markings, signing, traffic signals, median removal and Americans with Disabilities Act ramps. The work is expected to be done early next year.
