A McKeesport shooting that injured a man on Sunday is not connected to any previous shootings and wasn't drug- or gang-related, police said today.
A man was shot five times near a basketball court in Crawford Village about 2:40 p.m. as he was walking away after an argument with another man, McKeesport police Capt. Tim Hanna said.
The shooting resulted from an altercation between the two concerning a previous incident, about which police would not elaborate.
Allegheny County police are investigating the shooting further.
The man was listed in critical condition Sunday. Police also described his condition as stable, but did not have an update on his injuries this morning.
An Allegheny County dispatch supervisor on Sunday said he was transported to UPMC Presbyterian.
