Upper St. Clair -- The Coldwell Banker Real Estate Services South Hills office is holding its 10th annual USC Bake-Off as part of Upper St. Clair's annual community day. Children may bake and decorate cakes to compete for prizes of most patriotic, most original, and favorite TV show, movie or book. One $100 prize will be awarded. Register by May 15. A bag sale - meaning all the items you can fit in your bag for $5 - will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. May 18. Proceeds reading programs in the school district.

Bethel Park -- The Treehaven Garden Club will hold its annual plant sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the South Park Shops on Route 88. Club members will sell perennials grown in their gardens, hanging baskets and floral gift baskets.

McKeesport -- LifeSpan is sponsoring a senior picnic in celebration of Older Americans Month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 31 at the Blue Top Pavilion in Renzie Park. Mt. Lebanon -- Lorelei Stein, a Mt. Lebanon resident and Point Park University professor, will speak about medicine in the late 1800s at 7:30 p.m. May 15 at the Mt. Lebanon Public Library, 16 Castle Shannon Blvd. The event is free and is part of the Historical Society of Mount Lebanon speaker series.

Peters -- A talk titled "Jump Start Your Child's College Education" will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Peters Township Public Library, 616 E.
