An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted today on a man who was shot to death by the owner of a Bethel Park music store after the man unexpectedly and for no obvious reason turned violent Saturday.
A spokesman for the Allegheny County Medical Examiner said an official ruling on the cause of death will follow the autopsy. The examiner's office identified the man as Andrew Moore, 31, of Venetia.
Police said Mr. Moore had initially been browsing the Armen's House of Music on Library Road before departing then returning with a wooden club that he used to attack Sylvia and Alfred Armen. Mr. Armen shot Mr. Moore with a revolver.
Mrs. Armen was treated at UPMC Mercy then was released. She said in an interview on Saturday she expected her husband to be released from the hospital today.
Police have no motive for the incident. Mrs. Armen said Mr. Moore was unknown to the Armens.
