Allegheny County Police homicide detectives are investigating the Friday death of a Brentwood man found in his apartment, where he was found with apparent head injuries.
Michael Forse, 52, of 125 W. Bellecrest Ave., was pronounced dead at 2:55 p.m. in the ground-floor apartment that he shared with a male roommate, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office said today.
An autopsy this morning was inconclusive.
"We're treating it as a suspicious death right now," county police Assistant Superintendent James Morton said.
A determination of the cause and manner of Mr. Forse's death will have to rely upon the police investigation as well as results from toxicology and histology tests.
Mr. Forse had bruises to his head, according to the medical examiner's office.
Mr. Forse was found by his roommate, who called 911.
Police would not identify the roommate.
Investigators have interviewed the man, who is about the same age as Mr. Forse. But Assistant Superintendent Morton declined to say what he told police.
"I don't want to get into that right now because it's still pending," he said.
It is believed that Mr. Forse moved into the other man's apartment several months ago, Assistant Superintendent Morton said.
