State Police Capt. Douglas E. Grimes, a native of Jefferson Hills, graduated this month from the 251st session of the FBI National Academy at Quantico, Va.
Capt. Grimes is the director of the Operational Records Division of the State Police Bureau of Records and Identification and previously served as commander of the Megan's Law Section, Bureau of Records and Identification.
He is a native of Jefferson Hills and joined the State Police in 1987. He served at stations in Lewistown, Bedford, Rockview and Huntingdon and with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
Capt. Grimes is married to the former Suzanne McCorkle, a native of Elizabeth Township, and they have two grown sons.
At the academy, he was part of a class of 260 law enforcement officers from 49 states and 29 countries, four military organizations and six federal civilian organizations.
The academy offers 11 weeks of advanced investigative, management and fitness training for selected veteran officers.
