Bethel Park -- An all-you-can eat spaghetti dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Christ United Methodist Church, 44 Highland Road. Cost: $6 for adults, $3 for younger than 12, free for younger than 3; $18 maximum.

South Side -- A food fair, flea market and bake sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday at St. John the Baptist Church, 109 S. Seventh St.

South Park -- The South Park Lions Club will sponsor its annual Halloween parade at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 28, starting at the David J. Henney Funeral Home parking lot, 6364 Library Road, continuing along Route 88 toward Finleyville, onto Brownsville Road and left onto Pleasant Street.

Whitehall -- Whitehall Public Library, 100 Borough Park Drive, will hold a Halloween event for adults featuring scary stories, lunch and dessert from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 25. Fee: $5. Registration required. Information: 412-882-6622.


Bethel Park -- Southwestern Pennsylvania Registered Nurses Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton Presbyterian Church, 4500 Baptist Road, to hear a talk about treating cancer. All registered nurses welcome.

Bethel Park -- Friends of the Montour Trail in Bethel Park and in South Park, Jefferson Hills and Clairton will conduct a fundraiser for trail maintenance Saturday. Trail users are asked to bring pennies or other donations to collection spots at the Irishtown trailhead, Limestone trailhead or access road to Washington Road off Clifton Road. If weather is inclement, donations may be brought from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to the access road to Washington School in Bethel Park and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to the Bethel Park-South Park Waste Water Treatment Plant parking lot, to Gill Hall Road in Jefferson Hills or to Clairton Trailhead.

Jefferson Hills -- A fall festival will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Jefferson Hills municipal building, 925 Old Clairton Road.

Pleasant Hills -- Pleasant Hills Public Library is sponsoring an owl prowl at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Pleasant Hills Arboretum, West Bruceton Road. All participants are encouraged to bring binoculars to follow local ornithologist Bob Mulvihill as he seeks out owls.


Collier -- Holy Child Parish Christian Mothers & Guild will hold its 50th annual luncheon, fashion show and ticket action at 11 a.m. Oct. 21 at Peter's Place, 1199 Washington Pike.
