Daniel DiDesiderio III of Corapolis was hired as the new principal at Haine Middle School in the Seneca Valley School District at tonight's school board meeting.
Mr. DiDesiderio's annual salary was set at $91,350. He is taking over for Stephen Smith, who left Seneca Valley for a position in the Pine-Richland School District.
Mr. DiDesiderio is now working at the Montour School District, where he is principal of Burkett Elementary School. He also spent seven years in the Greenville Area School District, where he was an assistant principal and has served as the music, band and chorus instructor.
He received his bachelor of arts degree in music education, master's degree in school administration and his superintendent's letter of eligibility from Westminster College. He is now working on a doctor of education in educational leadership and management from Capella University, which he expects to finish in May.
