The closure of a section of Pearce Mill Road in Pine for reconstruction and slide repairs has been extended to mid-December, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced Tuesday.
The road has been closed from the Route 910 intersection south to Brown Road since June. When the $2.6 million project started, PennDOT estimated the closure would end in early October. The project was extended because of the need to correct an additional slide, spokesman Steve Cowan said.
A neighboring bridge project that has closed a section of Route 910 is on schedule for completion later this month, he said. A reopening date will be announced soon.
