Driver dies in Mercer County crash

A motorist died early this morning after a car crash in Perry, Mercer County.

The driver of a 1999 Honda Accord encountered a sharp curve along State Route 358 at Bean Road just before 3 a.m., according to state police in Mercer County.

The driver lost control and crashed into a mailbox before rolling off the road into brush and small trees in an embankment. The car rolled further into a small yard.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver's name is not being released pending family notification.
