Three men from Omaha, Neb., were seriously injured Friday morning in a crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Cranberry, state police said.
A man and his two adult sons were in the vehicle, which hit a culvert, went airborne and landed on its roof about 10:49 a.m. at the turnpike's interchange ramp in Cranberry, police said.
Two were flown by medical helicopter and another was taken by ambulance to a Pittsburgh hospital. Their names have not been released.
According to state police, the three were heading to Reading. State police told KDKA-TV that they left Omaha Thursday evening and were taking six-hour shifts driving when the father fell asleep behind the wheel.
