Authorities in northwestern Pennsylvania said fire claimed the life of a teenager in his family's home.
Crews in Crawford County were called to the Conneaut Township home at about 1:12 a.m. Friday.
Coroner Scott Schell said the body of 16-year-old Zachary Baker was found in his bedroom.
Mr. Schell said an autopsy concluded that he died of asphyxiation due to smoke inhalation.
Other family members were able to escape the home, but at least six were taken to a hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation and other possible injuries.
State police said the cause of the blaze remains under investigation, but preliminary signs are that it was accidental.
