Sheriff's deputies arrested a Bellevue man on the agency's most wanted firearms fugitives list today.
Thomas James Durrett Jr., 34, was put on probation after pleading guilty to a firearms charge in 2007. He was arrested in February on assault charges, which put him in violation of his parole, and became wanted again when he failed to appear at a trial on the assault case in July.
Deputies apprehended Durrett by acting on a tip that he was staying at an apartment in the 200 block of Harrison Street in Bellevue. They found Durrett hiding behind a mattress in a closet on the third floor. Deputies said he refused orders to surrender and they used a stun gun to subdue him.
Durrett is being held at the Allegheny County Jail without bond.
