A 28-year-old woman was killed early Wednesday when a tractor-trailer went through a stop sign, crashing into her vehicle, state police said.
Police identified the victim as Gerri L. Best, of Rimersburg.
Police said Jose Lopez Pinedo, 29, of Aurora, Ill., was driving the tractor-trailer that failed to stop at a posted stop sign at the intersection of Routes 68 and 268.
A 2-year-old passenger in Ms. Best's car was flown to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. His condition was not released.
Mr. Pinedo was not hurt.
