Officials at the Fox Chapel Area School District are reviewing surveillance video in an attempt to determine who spray-painted the fox statue near the high school's gymnasium entrance.
District spokeswoman Bonnie Berzonski said the damage occurred about 12:30 a.m. Thursday and that school's resource officer, an officer with the O'Hara police, intends to file a report. Photos of the statue show spray-painted obscenities and the letters "CCHS" around the statute.
Fox Chapel Area High School has a football game against Central Catholic High School at 7 p.m. today. Representatives for Central Catholic High School could not immediately be reached for comment Thursday afternoon. O'Hara police declined to comment because they had not yet seen the report.
