West Deer -- East Union Presbyterian Church, 292 East Union Road, will hold a craft fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 29. There will be hand-crafted items, a ticket auction and concession stand. Information: 412-767-5750.


Aspinwall -- UPMC St. Margaret is offering free flu vaccinations to area residents age 65 and older, from 9 a.m. to noon, Oct. 6. Registration at Entrance B, 815 Freeport Road. Priority will be given to seniors or those with chronic health conditions. Individuals 18 to 64 years of age who do not have a chronic health condition can be vaccinated for $15.

New Kensington -- New Kensington Family Health Center, 301 Eleventh Street, Suite C, will offer free flu vaccines to residents age 65 and older, from 9 to 11 a.m., next Thursday, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 25. Those under the age of 65 and who do not have a chronic health condition will be charged $15. Flu vaccines will not be given to anyone under the age of 18. Information: 724-334-3640.

Butler -- VA Butler Healthcare will offer flu vaccination clinics to Veterans at the main campus and other community locations. September flu clinics will be held at the following times, dates, and locations:

• 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, VA Butler Healthcare, Primary Care Clinic, 325 New Castle Road.

• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Flu Clinic and Health Fair, VFW Post # 894, 894 Veterans Lane, Natrona Heights.

• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. next Thursday, Flu Clinic and Health Fair, Latin American Club, 1218 3rd Avenue, Ford City.

• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. next Saturday, Flu Clinic and Health Fair, Lawrence County VA Outpatient Clinic, Ridgewood Professional Centre, 1750 New Butler Road.


Emsworth -- The North Boros/Sewickley Area Meals on Wheels will hold a fall fundraising dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, at St. James Lutheran Church, 28 Pittsburgh Street. Roast pork or pork and sauerkraut dinners cost $9 each and smaller portion meals will be available for $5 each.

O'Hara -- The Women's Group of St. Joseph Church, 342 Dorseyville Road, will hold the murder mystery dinner theater "Montana Marie Gets Gunned Down At Three" at 6 p.m. next Saturday. Pine -- A Taste Of Pine will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. next Thursday at Pine Community Center, 100 Pine Park Drive. Cost: $40 per person or two tickets for $75. Includes personalized wine glass and limited wine tasting. Tickets sold in advance at Pine Community Center. Reserved for first 160 guests only. Proceeds benefit Friends of Pine Community Parks. Sewickley -- St. James Church, 200 Walnut Street, in conjunction with the Knights of Columbus, will hold an Oktoberfest from 6 to 10 p.m. Sept. 28. The event will include German food, music, entertainment and tractor rides. Dinner cost is $10, for adults and $5 for children. Information: 412-741-6650.


Cranberry -- The Cranberry Genealogy Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the Cranberry Public Library on Rochester Road. Shelli Nye, director of the Cranberry Family History Center will speak on new features coming to Family Search.

McCandless -- The Longvue Acres Garden Club will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Northmont United Presbyterian Church, 8169 Perry Highway. Jessia Walliser, also known as The Organic Gardener, will present "Creating A Cutting Garden."


North Park -- Western Pennsylvania Mushroom Club will hold its annual Gary Lincoff Mid-Atlantic Mushroom Foray Saturday at North Park, Rose Barn. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m., and programs run from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Cost: $35 plus WPMC membership dues; $10 for students 11 to 18; children 11 and under, free. Information/registration:
