Stowe police announced that officers from 10 departments arrested 17 suspects in a drug raid yesterday morning.

Police Chief Frank Marciw said warrants were issued for 31 people after undercover officers from Stowe, Ohio Township, Crafton, Rosslyn Farms, Coraopolis, Kennedy, Robinson and McKees Rocks conducted more than 100 drug buys in the last six or seven months. Officers from Allegheny County and the sheriff's office assisted.

Police confiscated about 2.5 ounces of crack cocaine, two small bags of marijuana, almost $900 in cash and two digital scales. They also seized a .357-caliber Magnum that was hidden in one suspect's refrigerator.

Police charged Beau Cersosimo, 25, Jerry Jackson, 21, Maurice Jones, 24, Joseph Kennedy, 22, Jeremiah Wright, 27, and Amber Reiss, 20, all of Stowe; Todd Currington, 31, Aaron Love, 22, and Eric Smith, 22, who were in the Allegheny County Jail; William LaRue, 31, and Donald Cogdell, 29, of McKees Rocks; Evan Brown, 23, of Garfield; David Clements, 36, of Kennedy; Harry Gonzalez, 34, of Carnegie; and Michael Jarret, 28.

Another suspect, Thomas al-Hauneef, 29, of Pittsburgh, turned himself in during the arraignment and Chief Marciw said he believed a 17th suspect, Lamar Tompkins, residence unavailable, turned himself in later.

Chief Marciw said 14 suspects remained at large.
